The history of the USS Enterprise here in Star Fleet On-Line is basically the same storied history of the entire fleet. The Star Trek storyline from Television and the Movies is really different from the timeline and history of Star Fleet On-Line and the Voyages of our Starship Enterprise. The USS Enterprise, since SFOL's birth, has been the Flagship of the Fleet. There is one exception to that statement, and that exception is the Enterprise D.

Star Fleet On-Line was founded on the basic foundations of FUN for everyone who is a fan of Star Trek. The beginnings and foundations of Star Fleet On-Line began on AOL and quickly grew large enough to move off of AOL and onto The Net. The move took SFOL to IRC and with that move, went the USS Enterprise and her first officer, Commander Kirk. The USS Enterprise held voyages on EfNet in the Channel #USS_Enterprise. The roots of the USS_ prefix dates back to the beginning of Star Fleet On-Line on IRC. It wasn't long before Kirk became the Captain of the Enterprise, but it would be the USS Enterprise - A that he started out in as holder of the Big Seat.

The Enterprise - A and her crew continued to SIM on EfNet. Star Fleet On-Line had grew by leaps and bounds, and Kirk had worked his way up to the rank of Admiral. He was third in Command of the Entire Fleet. At this point in his Career Kirk was the Commanding Officer of the Enterprise, the Captain of the Fleet, and was third in command of Star Fleet On-Line. Things still looked up but it was not to last for long.

A huge net split occured and EfNet was suffering bad. Lags in the Network and other problems caused SIM cancellations and delays for weeks. Other networks were being scouted but the impact was hard felt. It was also at this time that the Fleet Admiral of Star Fleet On-Line chose to resign and leave the SIM world. This would normally have put the Vice Fleet Admiral in as the new Fleet Admiral and would have given Kirk the opportunity to become the new Vice Fleet Admiral. That didn't happen. Vice Fleet Admiral John Sisko chose not to accept the promotion to Fleet Admiral and instead nominated Kirk to take the post. Kirk accepted gladly.

The problems that had been plaguing SFOL could not be turned around with just a snap. Drastic times caused for Drastic Measures. Fleet Admiral Kirk decommissioned half of the Fleet and he and Sisko moved the USS Enterprise and the USS Frontieer to the Undernet IRC Network. This new network would be where Star Fleet On-Line would grow under Kirks command by leaps and bounds and many changes would occure with the USS Enterprise as a result.

It wasn't long after setting up shop on Undernet that Sisko disappeared. His disappearance and his ships disappearance is still a mystery that has never been solved. Kirk without a Vice Fleet Admiral, turned to his new First Officer of the USS Enterprise, MajorKira and appointed her Vice Fleet Admiral of Star Fleet On-Line. It was the guidance of Kirk and Kira that lead to the Golden Age of Star Fleet On-Line. The USS Enterprise - A was destroyed in a battle with the Romulans just inside Federation Space near the Neutral Zone. The USS Enterprise - B was commissioned under the Command of Fleet Admiral Kirk and Vice Fleet Admiral Kira as the first officer. History would never be the same.

The USS Enterprise - B has come to be known as The Pride of Star Fleet On-Line. The ships design came from a Excelsior Class Starship, just like the Enterprise from the Story of Star Trek on Television and Movies. Just like all of the Flagships of the past, the Enterprise - B had some major additional systems that made her a great vessel and fun filled SIM ship to boot. The Enterprise - B probably had the greatest crew in Star Fleet On-Line history as well. The likes of Abril, Data and Herb. Another officer by the name of Sisko came to be a great officer as well. Worf, Troi, Wesley, Stryder and Picard. All people who became members of Star Fleet On-Line and all people who had an impact on Star Fleet On-Line, all who participated in SIMs aboard the Enterprise -B.

Lots of things happening and lots of changes. Occured in the next few months. Then the War with the Dominion Started. This was the first war with the Dominion but it would not be the last.

During the first war with the Dominion the Pride of Star Fleet On-Line, The USS Enterprise B had to be decomissioned due to a beating she took at the Hands of the JemHedar. During the War The Enterprise B as well as many other Ships were lost. Kirk Ordered the B Mothballed and repaired to a Flyable and useable condition. The Enterprise B is now kept in Space Dock at McKinley Station, Earth. Don't be surprised is once in awhile, the Fleet Admiral orders her pulled out just to fly her around space. It is the thoughts of nearl everyone, past and present, in SFOL that Kirks heart still beats on the bridge of that ship.

Fleet Admiral Kirk ordered an Ambassador Class Starship that was nearing completion to go through some new War Class Updates and modifications. This new ship was commissioned NCC-1701-C, USS Enterprise. This was the fourth ship to bear that name and the fourth flagship of Star Fleet On-Line. The Enterprise - C was a fighting machine. Equipped with many shield systems and weapons including a Photon Cannon. The Enterprise - C was able to drive the Dominion back and regain Federation Territory. With the help of the 9th Fleet, The Enterprise - C lead the way and pushed the Dominion back into the Wormhole and out of the Alpha Quadrant......or so we through.

It wasn't long before the Dominion and the Founders surfaced again and reared their ugly faces. The Second War with the Dominion and started and this time the Federation found it's self with some strange friends, The Romulans. The Founders had killed over half the Romulan Senate and had morphed themselves into looking like these powerful people. The Dominion was in essence taking over the Romulan Empire. The Federation allied with the Romulans and many others to fight this terrible threat to the Alpha Quadrant.

The Enterprise C was fighting to keep the Founders from Over Taking the Entire Romulan Empire and possibly moving into other sectors. During a battle in the middle of the Neutral Zone, the Enterprise - C was destroyed by heavy fire from Dominion Ships. Luckily, no one was killed from the Enterprise. Three Defiant Class ships escorted the Fleet Admiral and the Crew of the Enterprise back to earth where Kirk unveilved his master plan to end the war.

The USS Enterprise - D became the only Starship in Star Fleet On-Line to bear the Name Enterprise and not be the Flagship of the Fleet. The Flagship at the time was the USS Defiant, and Kirk had taken command of the Defiant. The USS Enterprise D was actually a Computer Controlled ship. The bridge of the ship was outfitted with Holo Emitters so that the appearance of Kirk and Crew being in Command would be present. With the holographic crew and a bit of sub-space trickery, it appeared that Kirk and Crew were controlling this most powerful ship. The Enterprise - D was a highly modified Galaxy Class Starship with a lot of power to boot. In the last battle of the Second War the Enterprise D, using a Suicide Hit, was destroyed. The outcome sent shockwaves through the Galaxy. The War was Over, The Founders and JemHedar removed from Romulus and sent back through the Worm Hole to the Gamma Quadrant and the Romulans re-took their proper homeland. Due to the very capable intellect of Fleet Admiral Kirk and Vice Fleet Admiral Kira, the war was over and all stood as well through the galaxy.
